Flu vaccinations Posted on 30 Aug 2018

We are now making appointments for adults for flu vaccinations.  Please contact reception to make an appointment if you're 65 or over (or will be by 31.3.2019), are an unpaid carer, you are pregnant, you have a long term respiratory disease, a long term heart condition, a long term kidney or liver condition, you are immunocompromised (weakened immune system), you have a long term neurological condition, you are overweight with a BMI of 40 or above, you have a problem with your spleen, or you are diabetic.

This year, for the first time, the 65 and over age group will be having a different vaccine to the under 65's, more information is available at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/flu-influenza-vaccine/ , however supplies of the 65 and over vaccine are being spread over 3 months, September to November, this may mean that you're not able to have your vaccine until November if you're 65 or over.  We have been asked to prioritise those who are 75 and over first, followed by those who are 65 and over and have one of the health conditions listed above.

We've not yet been notified of the delivery dates for the children's flu vaccine, we will make appointments avaiable once we have more information.
